I am a Technical Delivery Analyst meaning I help with Sprint Planning, I create the Schedules for the team to follow and I help out with the delivery of our products
Yes, I have learnt so many new things! A few things I have learnt are: - How to do HTML, CSS and Java Coding - How to plan for a Sprint - I have also helped with the forecasting - How to create the governance packs and tasks
I love the Programme I am on! There are so many different opportunities available to me. I have moved teams a few times but this has not hindered me, it has helped me grow, learn more new things as well as meet new people and become more and more confident in myslef.
The Programme is very structured! We have one day of University a week and the rest we are in work as usual. At the start of the Programme, we has 12 well structured weeks to help us (the Apprentices) get settled in to life at Barclays, this 12 weeks was really useful.
From the very beginning, we have been told that we can always ask questions no matter how silly we think they are, they have made sure we have access to things like Well Being info and support. At Barclays, there is an endless supply of help that they offer you! The support system is incredible!!
Our Line Managers are supportive and understanding of how much work we have to do as Degree Apprentices. They make sure we have all the support we need, putting us in touch with people that can help us if we need it. Also, the tutors at Uni are incredible! They are always there to help you if you need it no matter what time it is or whether it is a Uni Holiday
In the second year of Uni, you get to choose a pathway. This pathway is supposed to help you in your Job Role. I have chosen the Data Analytics Pathway as this will help me improve in my job rile. I will learn more about Excel, SQL and learn more about Forecasting.
Barclays has tones of sports teams!!! It is fair to say that where I work (Radbroke), is just like a university campus because of how much goes on there. They have lots of sports teams and they also have lots of none sports related clubs too! Unfortunately, because of Covid-19 I haven't been able to join any of these yet as I haven't been to the campus since I started working there but in the future I will defiantly be joining one!
Yes
Barclays is an INCREDIBLE place to work! No matter what your religion, ethnicity, disability, sexuality or gender everybody is equal. They have such a wide network of support for everyone as well. They care about you, your family and your mental as well as physical health! I can't think of a better place to work!!
When Applying for Barclays: 1. Be confident, don't seem shy! Make sure you show them your personality, it is a big part of Barclays. 2. In your interview ask questions about Barclays!! If you do this, it will show that you are really interested in the company and you want to be there and that you are already planning on being there. 3. BE YOURSELF! Barclays is all about inclusivity, show your personality in your interview! If they ask you a question that gives you the opportunity to tell a funny story that taught you something, tell it and then tell them what this experience taught you!
