I work in a personal tax consultancy team. I take notes on client calls, draft proposals, complete engagement takeon and draft advice for the client
I have learnt a significant amount about the tax system in the UK and other countries
I enjoy the concept, i really like learning about the taxes and then making the advice. However, most of the job isn't this
Not very organised, neither me or my counsellor know what is going on most of the time
I receive lots of support from my employer in both my work and personal life
I receive lots of support from tolleys when studying for exams
my qualification links directly back to what i need to know in order to complete advice
There is many sports teams and social activities however, i do not attend
No
From the experiences of my friends in other firms compared to mine, i would recommend other accountancy firms
EY is full of great people and opportunities and be sure to pick a service line suited to you
