i do the rotas, invoicing, organise acitivtes throughout the day, i work deliveries. I also serve on the tills and speak to customers that come into the store. i do performance reviews and i also train and upskill colleagues. i also land any new changes in the business, which happens often!
the main thing i have learned from being a manager is people skills. in order for your team to work effectively and efficiently then you have to be the right leader for them and being the best leader i can be, people skills are high on the list and should be for every mananger!
i am really enjoying the programme!! i have met some great people and have formed some great relationships through our entrepreneurship project. i have also enjoyed doing my first assignment as i used to enjoy doing them when i was at school. i am in this til the end and want a first!
it is very well strcuctered. we were given the study blocks for the full two years so that was very well organised. and each time we have a study block we are given information the week before such as lonks to the zoom calls and any info we need beforehand.
my employer has been fantastic! i get a full day every two weeks to be able to work on anything i am doing at the time, although some of the work is expected in my own time. we have people we can go to when we need any help and we also have personal tutors
we have personal tutors who are there if we need any help but we also have the other tutors who roll out the study block training and we can go to them for any assistance too. they have all been very helpful so far whenever i have asked a question, answering emails within two days.
this qualification is going to help my career and my role. especially the first assignment as it was around team climate so i had the chance to see what my team were thinking of us as a team and this means i can go back in to store and works towards being a better team
there are sessions going on all the time with the co-op which we can get involved in. and at the minute they have their own festival going on and we can join various events. we have also been given gym passes aswell as a perk of our job. the co-op really cares about our well being.
Yes
the co-op is a fantastic place to work!! i have worked for the co-op for a long time and i love my job and my team. i also love the co-op's ethics! they really care about their employees and i genuinely think they do their best to do right by all of their colleagues!
just be yourself. the co-op prides itself on people being their self. they are an inclusive employer aswell so be open and honest about who you are. make sure to do your research about the co-op before you go into an interview as you show willing then and that you've done your own work beforehand
