1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

Really enjoy learning on site, I experience lots of different sectors of engineering and I am able to link my information that I get in college to my work place. You are cared for and treated very well.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

Time management, fault finding, how to maintain and repair equipment, testing electrical equipment.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Very, I enjoy coming to work the workplace is a nice place and is no bad feelings about it. Being able to work on equipment which I wouldn’t anywhere else.

4. How well organised/structured is your programme?

We have a college structure we follow which we follow each week.

5. How much support do you receive from your employer?

I have dyslexia and they have put learning implements to help me with my learning.

6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?

College help and I have a nvq assessor which makes goals for you to get to then gives you feed back.

7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?

The information that I’m learning I’m able to apply to my job role and then apply it to applications

8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)

Lots of my colleagues play golf which you can do with them. I play rugby with couple of colleagues.

Yes

Very interesting, pick up lots of new skills, enjoy work and feel like you a member of a team

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Gatwick Airport?

The current scheme right now is very good and there is no negative points I have, really enjoy my position here.
