I am mainly working within AP (accounts payable) and helping suppliers / customers with their queries. I check statements and vendor accounts too in order to make sure that we are paying all our suppliers correctly and efficiently.
the main skill i would say that I have developed would be confidence as working from home means that it has been harder to meet people face to face and so the majority of meetings are virtual - I have had to come out of my shell massively.
So far, I have found the working aspect very enjoyable by learning new skills and using different software etc but then the college work alongside can be hard and it can take me a while to understand concepts. It's hard to be able to manage my time.
Very well - I get support from work when I do have college work to undertake and exams. BPP are also really good in sending emails if I ever need any support or help in terms of revision or any extra work that I might need.
I would say that the support that i get from my employer isn't overwhelming however it is there when I need it and when I ask for help, I do know that someone will be there for me to go to.
A lot ! I have online lectures in order to learn the material and there is so much material and content online that I have access to if I need help with a certain topic or to go over something in particular.
It has helped me to understand the work I do more and not only do I now perform a task, but I also know why I am doing it and maybe who it will affect.
Due to Covid-19 restrictions there is currently nothing that i am able to get involved in but i have been reassured that there are usually sports and social clubs that when possible, I am able to get involved with.
Yes
The company is very good to work for as especially at Congleton, everyone has been so friendly and welcoming but also there are lots of benefits that come from working for a business like Siemens and so yes, I would recommend working here.
Be yourself! The employer is looking more at what you can bring to the role as a person and maybe not looking 100% at the qualifications and achievements that you have behind you.
