My role is a Telecomms Engineer for Openreach. My day to day involves jointing and splicing fibre cables up ready to be commissioned for customers to order.
Yes I am now fully trained to cable and joint up Fibre cable ready to be commissioned for customer order.
Very enjoyable and received valuable skills
Programme was ran really well especially considering I did it in a global pandemic.
We get allocated time off everytime we need to attend an apprenticeship workshop or training course.
The training providers are great and assist you in anything you may need along the way in completing your apprenticeship
I don't think it helps me perform better necessarily. It helped me get the role but we learn a lot more skills once we are boots on the ground and getting involved in the work.
