  • On a day to day basis I look after the running of the Learning & Development Department office - Setting up for courses, creating and managing class lists, booking accommodation. • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes I have learnt new skills. I have learnt more about time management and stakeholder engagement. I am quite an organised person but i learnt how to coach others to be better organised and how to coach others to engage better with key stakeholders. These were really interesting topics in my Apprenticeship.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I did enjoy the Apprenticeship despite a bumpy start as I had several coaches along the way. In the end it all came together really well and my coach motivated me really well to continue on the course and get me through my exam. I couldn't thank her enough for this. I loved that I could work and well as learn along the way.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The Apprenticeship was well structured. I was set small tasks throughout each module. I liked the fact that there were separate modules which kept all relevant learns together on different topics. There were timely meetings face to face and virtually. I had more virtual meetings due to Covid but this was still very productive and engaging.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • My employer was amazing from the start! I was allowed to manage my own work and apprenticeship time. I was able to allocate one day a week to my apprenticeship whilst my work colleagues covered me on this day. I had regular check ins with my line manager to check on my progress. Time management was crucial to me achieving my Apprenticeship!

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I received regular face to face and virtual meeting time with my training provider. There was a slight delay in communications when Covid came around but as soon as new systems and measures were in place, we picked up where we had left. The support was great and encouragement I received was excellent. I really appreciated all their feedback too.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel that this qualification has given me the boost I needed in my role to re-confirm my ability within my team. I knew I was doing quite well, but it has allowed me to put into practice what I knew. It has also given me more opportunities to be involved with projects within my department which before I never had the opportunity to do so. I am more motivated to ask to get involved in different things now.
