I deal with emails from learners, telephone calls from parents and employers, provide reports for managers, create bespoke documents to be used by and for learners. General tasks such as printing and collecting post and a wide range of other administrative tasks as and when required of me by my manager
I have been learning about different ways in which to communicate, what is Most effective in order for people to take on board what you are trying to say. I have also learnt about systems thinking which I had not heard of before so hopefully this will help with future work.
I have found the level 4 tougher than expected but my assessor has been fantastic and really supported me through my apprenticeship. I have enjoyed certain units that I have had to complete more than others. Many I have enjoyed any work around IT systems has this is where most of my knowledge already is.
I have found this to be very well organised from the start, I started slightly later than everyone else I filled in all the relevant paperwork and started my first day which was a induction into the course and what to expect. Each workshop has been very informative as well.
My employer has been very supportive throughout this apprenticeship. Giving me plenty of time to complete work for my apprenticeship as well as offering me different ways to gain my 20% this has been achieved by shadowing her, going to other departments and online training courses to learn more about many different subjects.
My training provider is also my place of work so they have been very supportive of me trying to achieve my apprenticeship. Lots of support given when needed and many different avenues for help available if needed for me and an apprentice. This has been really helpful while trying to study.
I feel the level 4 will be beneficial to me as I have only been in an admin role for about 5 years so I still have a lot to learn about how processes can be put in place for a smoother running of things within a company or department.
We have team training sessions as well as the option to undertake training that is on offer which covers a large subject area. When allowed we also have working lunch where we go to lunch and discuss the way forward for different things to help our department run more successfully.
Yes
They have been very supportive of me and I have made some great friends as everyone is so friendly and willing to help. Nothing is too much trouble with the people I work closely with and I am grateful to be part of the team that I am. A great place to work and train.
There are sessions available to help you decide the best path for you if you are not sure what you would like to do. There is also a careers team on hand if needed. There are also so many different courses you can undertake and the facilities and support on offer are fantastic.
