  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Dealing with clients accounts and performing an overall audit on their data. So going through all of there monetary transactions throughout the year and performing various tests in order to make sure it has been accounted correctly and efficiently, as well as giving details as to what some specifics are.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • I have learnt a lot of skills whilst using Microsoft Excel, in terms of general and more complicated formulas in order to better my work within Microsoft Excel as that is the main basis for what I use within my work. This has helped massively in improving quality as well as efficiency.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I have really enjoyed my program, as I feel it has been a good balance of learning as well as doing my job itself. I have been able to complete my college work as they have given days off as such in order to do so which has really helped make the learning easier.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The organization of my program has been really good, as it has bene set out so that the college is separate from my job so I have days off in order to complete my college and then a set date for taking each exam which we are also given time off for.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I have received lots of support from my peers as well as my superiors which has been really good as some parts of the job can become quite difficult. In which the help and support i have been able to receive has really made it far easier to complete my job to the standards expected.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I have received a lot of support from Kaplan as they have tutors on hand to email with any queries as well as a lot of resources on the website in which we can get practice questions a long with reruns of our college days in order to go through the curriculum again.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • My qualification has been really helpful to my job role as it has been able to show me a lot of why I'm doing my job as opposed to just how to do it, so I have been able to learn a lot about the rules and regulations needed within audit

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Yes, so far with lockdown there have been a few less than there normally would be, however it has still been nice to have social events every so often in which we have been able to meet a lot of new people and have a good laugh at the same time.

  • 9a. Would you recommend EY to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • So far my experience at EY has been brilliant, I have had a really good time working and learning at the same time, in which I would recommend it highly to my friends. So far I have had a great time even during busy season as my team have been great helping me to handle the high workload.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to EY?
  • In terms of tips for applying to EY all I would recommend is to be yourself in the interviews, as opposed to trying to be what you would think they want as it is very diverse at EY and they show how much they enjoy us being ourselves through our weekly news letter showing off some of the random things people have gotten up to during lockdown.
