In my current role I help manage the maintenance department for the companies fleet requirements this can range from compliance events such as MOTs through to unscheduled maintenance such as roadside breakdowns. I look after a team of 10+ and I also lead the training of the department and onboarding of new staff.
I carried out a development roadmap within the business which has allowed my management style to improve and adapt as time has progressed. I have had very supportive management who have allowed me to take on more responsibility to allow me to grow. I have been able to carry out a CPC global recognised qualification and a level 3 qualification which will help me to adapt and make better decisions for the business.
I love the company culture it is fun and it allows creative people to thrive. For those that are self motivated and want to get on they support you. I liked that i could talk to my mentor as often as i needed and they always got back to me quickly every time i sent an email.
The programme is really well structured i cant complain at all. the group sessions are informative and interactive allowing different types of learners to be able to utilise it as much as possible. The monthly meetings are also well structured and they give you clear direction on where you need to be for next time. Clear . concise and informative.
My employer has been very encouraging of the involvement of the Apprenticeship. They allow me time to be able to complete all work that i need to and they are also willing and engaged when i bring ideas back from my apprenticeship to carry out in the workplace. Couldn't be happier.
They are always responsive to emails whenever i ask questions or want extra details. Due to having similar passions i have felt comfortable enough to email the tutors to ask for extra resources they have found helpful. Each person i have spoke to is happy to help but also feels invested in my future and my development throughout the qualification.
i have been able to put many aspects regarding motivation or learning styles into place in my workplace which has allowed me to see an improvement in stats. IT has also allowed me to be better at having difficult conversations with my staff as they have given my guidance on how to address situations and feel confident when doing so.
Enterprise have an excellent social calendar from Charity boat races to Pandemic Virtual Quiz nights where the wider company is invited. it allows you to bond with your team who are geographically further away and allows you to network at the same time. There is also sports teams like football that are set up by the staff that are incredibly popular.
Yes
I have had a very positive experience from my time at Enterprise. I feel like I have been recognised and I am appreciated for the hard work that I do. They company culture is incredibly important to me and I love the fact that they have adapted to the recent pandemic as much as they can to still allow the staff to have social events as they know and understand that a work life balance is also important. I know if I wanted any additional training the company would help me to achieve whatever I wanted to.
Just be passionate and get fully involved in the company. there is lots to learn but there is always someone with the answer that you are looking for. If your after a company that will support you and help you get the best career then i would recommend joining the Team. Plus - all the staff are really supportive and you will make some great friends too !
