My role involves answering customer queries, and making all mid- term changes to customers policies which would include: changing vehicles, registration numbers, adding and removing drivers, I can stop automatic renewals and renew customers polices. Furthermore, I also sell breakdown cover and home insurance to customers.
Yes I have, I have become much more confident with speaking to other people, I have learnt to flex to different customer types. I have also developed my IT skills too throughout this job too, my communication skills have become much better too and ability to plan.
I have learnt lots of new things throughout the programme, I have learnt all the underwriting parts of insurance, I know the regulatory requirements, different types of insurances and what they offer too.
The programme is very well structured we have 3 hours of training in order to complete any coursework and also look at the insurance Textbook and revise that too. Also, if I have any questions I can simply ask my trainer who will provide me with any assistance.
Any time I need any help or if I have any questions I can ask my employer and they will be able to help me, or can direct me where to go. I also receive any coaching actions on areas that I struggle with.
I get a lot of help, all of my work is checked so I know where I need to improve and also what I need to do to try to get the best outcome, so that is very helpful.
It helps me because then I have a greater understanding of insurance so things that I learn I can also then use in my role too so it makes it easier and I have more knowledge.
Yes we do have extra curricular activities, there are often events that we have where we can help raise money for charity or where we can donate things or make things for charity and things to raise awareness.
