Day to day we take inbound calls from customers to discuss their insurance policies with us, we help with queries, complaints, payments etc.
I have learnt lots of new skills in regards to financial services and insurance.
I enjoyed it greatly whilst doing the apprenticeship role, there was a perfect balance of training and on the job work.
The apprenticeship was structured well however could of been better, communication sometimes fell through from training mentors.
I feel as though I dont receive as much support on the job as I did during the apprenticeship however I am quite an independent person and I always raise problems if there are any. But the general wellbeing/mental health help was better when I was an apprentice as I had support from my trainer too.
I received a lot of support from my training mentor [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions], she was very friendly and approachable which made it a lot easier. She always knew how to say the right thing and she did not be little you in any kind of way if you did not understand the work.
If I am honest I dont think my qualification helps massively as the job role is mainly customer service based and I worked in customer service years before so I feel like I already had that skill to a high level. However it has helped improve my knowledge around other things higher up such as FCA, GDPR etc which is helpful for complaints.
I think so, but I don't involve myself in these types of activities. Work parties are great for socialising with other colleagues though!
Yes
It is a good company to work for it has pro's and con's like lots of places. The work life is hard to balance with home life due to the hours/rotation shifts etc but the benefits are good and a chance to make some great friends.
Be confident and if something goes wrong in work life or home life try not to let manager's or anyone get you down. Enjoy it and the benefits that come with it however be prepared for a fast pace high target meeting job role.
