I am a Team Leader which involves responsibility as the person in charge. Tasks include managing the team in order to achieve outcomes over the course of the shift. Cash handling, opening/closing the shop. Ensuring polices and procedures are adhered to.
I have both learnt new skills and developed existing ones. My people management skills have certainly improved. I am also more confident in my decisions as I have a sound academic knowledge to back them up.
The programme is highly enjoyable, although it's delivery has been affected by the pandemic. It has changed from face to face to online delivery. This has not been so effective for me as my learning style is suited to face to face sessions.
The programme is well structured and organised as well as it can be. I think that the university and Co-op have done well considering the circumstances which we have faced over the last year.
My employer is very supportive. We have appropriate time off to give time to the course and they have been supportive with research for my assignments.
Support is there as required. Although, as I've said before, this has been somewhat affected by the pandemic. Tutors are only an email away, and usually happy to pick up a call of needed.
It has backed up my existing knowledge further and taught me new things. I have learnt a lot about people management, and finances which I had little knowledge of before.
None that I am aware of
Yes
I have been supported and invested In To develop my career. The programme means I will have the benefit of having a degree.
