My aim is to complete the Project management degree apprenticeship. The role involves providing support to the governance of project control activities across project management and to the management of resource and budgets. I am responsible for a variety of tasks and currently involved with assisting with training days.
Only being a couple of months into my placement, I have developed personally and professionally. I have grown in confidence and been given endless opportunities to learn new toolsets and processes.
I enjoy my programme, the support provided is very encouraging and the network you can create is very positive. This apprenticeship has exceeded my expectations and even from working at home I still feel involved and valued.
The programme is very well structure. I have support from every aspect of my apprenticeship and have contacts who are there to support me. I attend regular training and meetings to ensure I am on track and developing throughout my placement.
BAE communicate the support very well. There are opportunities to engage with senior employees who hold sessions on a range of topics. As well as regular emails with newsletters and topics.
The university have experienced tutors who teach the syllabus and ensure all apprentices work to the best standard. Also the training provider offers key contacts such as the APM to assist with my learning.
The qualification and role works together hand in hand. The information That I am provided helps me within my role as I am able to put my knowledge into practice.
The company offers an 'outward' bound week to all apprentices to give the opportunity to interact with others and build on the team relationship. This has been rescheduled due to the pandemic but is still going ahead.
