  • Learnt audit skills. Picking up and reinforcing financial accounting skills along the way.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the university side of things. The work is very mixed. Sometimes it is basic data input, sometimes incredibly difficult to follow so it's difficult to say, but on the whole I'd say it's okay, but not enjoyable.

  • 4. How valued do you feel by PwC?
  • [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] However, the managers seem to appreciate our work but there is a general feeling that we are only here for PwC's short-term benefit.

  • 5. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • Well organised. Training is provided before placement and the feedback system is structured well.

  • 6a. How much support do you receive from your training provider?
  • I haven't required support so am not able to answer.

  • 6b. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Again, as above, but my people manager is helpful and always catching up with me.

  • 7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?
  • I feel as though it covers my costs well, as Cardiff is a fairly cheap place to live. Still, there are times when I am doing work that is well above my pay grade and feel as htough we could be being paid more.

  • Yes. There are always events and sessions that we are invited to attend.

  • 9. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?
  • No


  • 9b. Why?
  • I don't particularly enjoy the job and am planning on leaving when I qualify. However, if you want to get in to audit then it is the perfect course for you.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?
  • Be calm duringthe interview process and act professionally. Image is everything during the interview as it shows that you can act professionally around the client.
