  • I build the network with my colleagues using mechanical aids put cable into the network whilst remaining safe at all times. We also pull out old copper cables

  • Learned how to be safer when working. How to use tools that I haven’t used before and how to work neater due to the need to make all work presentable and work to a high standard.

  • I am enjoying it and look forward to completing it and any further training that comes my way

  • Very well structured I have all my study days booked in already by my assessor

  • I receive a lot of support as I have days off to complete my course and any help I require is there should I need it

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I feel like the qualification is not geared solely towards telecommunications and is pretty basic in terms of what I needed to do. One module was using the internet and how to access. There could be more modules on how to better understand the network

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • It is a brilliant company to work for. I have a good work life balance and. Or every company will give you everything that you need to do your job and the amount of tools, equipment and training is out of this world


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • To just accept that it’s a massive organisation and that it sometimes takes longer than what people are used to for responses. It can be overwhelming the information but workplace and the A-Z has everything to find out any questions you have
