Everyday at BAE Systems is always different gaining new skills from each task that you encounter. You are always supported by your colleagues who are always willing to help. Each task that is set provides unique challenges that no other company can offer! You are given a lot of responsibility right from the get go which helps with independent learning.
- improved communication - gained confidence - improved my Maths and English - Learnt about the company as a whole - improved interpersonal skills - Matured in a professional manner There are many external and internal courses on offer at BAE that will push and develop your skills further. You are given a sense of independence when choosing which courses to attend , knowing which ones will benefit you the most
I love the programme that i am on, it continuously challenges me in a safe environment. It has exceeded my expectations and I am glad that I applied for this role. You will always be placed in a friendly welcoming team which likeminded people who will support and guide you through your time at BAE
My programme is very well organised, I had all the relevant information prior to starting my job which allowed me to feel more comfortable. During the job you will always receive support from anyone in the company, you will never feel alone at BAE Systems. Mentors are also on offer at BAE that will always have the time to help and guide you through both University and your day-to-day role.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, there are plenty of support networks that are in place. Everyone is really friendly creating a safe and open environment where problems can be discussed openly. There is a real positive vibe from everyone at BAE systems. Mentors, safeguarding, early careers etc....
I have plenty of support from Blackpool and The Fylde College, i have university once a week but i can email and set up additional zoom sessions if needed. All tutors are extremely friendly and will always try and help out where they can. They will always make time for you.
everything that I am learning at university directly helps me with my role, i can see how each module in university related to my day to day job. I am constantly putting learning into practise. Likewise I can see how things I learn at BAE also relate to what I am learning at college.
There are plenty of extra-curricular activities to get involved with, there are sports, many social events, stretch assignments, classes and events that you will be able to attend
Yes
I would recommend BAE systems to a friend because of the friendly, driven, challenging yet supportive atmosphere that all employees create. There is a very good wage slip that comes with the job...You will constantly be challenged in your day to day role yet you will never be bored and 'twiddling thumbs'
I would recommend that people take a look at the APM and PMI websites to gain a greater insight into Project management before applying for the course. I would also recommend that you relax in interviews expressing your personality and demonstrating your competence :)
