I book-in deliveries with customers. This involves communicating with customers and our scheduling team to get a delivery time that suits them and us. I have a select group of customers that I am dedicated to, so I am also their customer service advisor and help them with any queries.
This is a customer service based role which I already have a lot of experience in so I haven't learnt new skills as such but have definitely developed my communication skills.
I am really enjoying so far - through the university I have learnt a lot about Supply Chain and through work I have learnt a lot about the company.
Pretty well structured. We have a full week out every 6-8 weeks to focus on university work which suits me very well as supposed having to go to university once a week.
Very supportive. As well as general support from mangers we have a dedicated mentor in the company and a dedicated buddy who is someone who has already done the apprenticeship.
Lots of support. They use OneFile to communicate tasks etc. to us but we can also use this or their emails to ask questions. Additionally, we have meetings with them and our mentors to review progress.
Pretty well. I have not necessarily used the knowledge in my current role but it really helped me understand how my role fits into the company as a whole and it will definitely help me progress further.
There are lots of volunteering opportunities which are great. Unfortunately I have only worked for the company whilst there has been a lockdown on so I'm not sure what activities there would be in normal circumstances.
Yes
Excellent company to work for - good ethical values. Also, very supportive at all levels. I have not felt disregarded as an apprentice, I am treated the same as everyone else.
Think about experiences you have that have given you skills - not just from previous work expereince but from social activities and you every day life.
