Looking after customers, taking orders & payments, ensuring the pub is kept clean and safe, looking after the pub, manage staff members and assist general manager. Cash up tills ensure all finances are correct. Ensure paperwork is kept up to date and ensure all stock is in date and correctly dated
I started as a shift leader and the apprenticeship allowed me to develop to profess further on to assistant manager. I have developed my basic waitressing skills and I have been able to learn how to correctly manage my team. I have also learned how to manage different pub finances
I enjoyed the programme, I feel as though I gained many different types of experience to allow me to be the best I can be at work. I enjoyed the way the apprenticeship was set out and I felt like I got a lot of support in order to complete it
The programme was well organised, there was no pressure to complete everything as I had a lot of support. I liked the fact you get face to face support as well as over phone or video call. The work was set out over a doable period of time so there was no pressure
I receive lots of support from my employer. Each day we will sit and talk about how the shift went and if there is anything we can improve. If I need anything I always receive the support I need. Extra training is always available if I need it and am always supported
I received a lot of support, if I needed any help or had any concerns I was always offered extra help. My training provider was always available for me whenever I had questions or worries about my qualifications. On top of this my training provider was always willing to show me different ways of doing things
I feel as though my qualification has really helped, I find that I am more confident in my job role and I am not afraid to ask for help when I need it. It has made me think of ways to work outside the box and am constantly looking for ways to improve the business
