Working with the HR function, Project Manage projects from start to finish. Liasing with stakeholders, end users, SLT and above market teams in order to achieve a successful Go Live
Before starting the apprenticeship I was already working on Projects so knew the basics, but the training has provided me with the tools and techniques to use and also developed my knowledge in other areas that were not familiar to me.
I have thoroughly enjoyed the apprenticeship. It has all been done virtually due to Covid 19 so every 6 weeks we have a teams workshop with all the other trainees, and learning what types of projects other companies are involved with has been interesting. We have now built up a network across companies.
Very well organised. We are given access to a training system called Bud. And this is where all our self study modules, assignments, practice exam questions are held, along with dates for our 1-2-1 sessions and workshops. It is easy to use and tells you where you are within the apprenticeship compaired to where you should be. If deadlines are not hit then it flags this to you. As well as the workshops every 6 weeks we also have 1-2-1's with our trainer and these are invaluable.
Nestle have been amazing. They are extremely supportive and my Line Manager allows me time to spend on the Apprenticeship, as well as providing me with the opportunity to use the skills I have learnt on live projects. My Line Manager also attends each quarterly 1-2-1 with the trainer so can provide her input and receive feedback on how well the apprenticeship is going.
My trainer provides alot of support. He provides feedback on all the assignments we submit and how to improve these if required, he marks all the practice exam questions and again tells you how to improve your score. He is on hand when emailing or phoning for quick advice, and has even helped me with a Project that I just needed some advice on.
The skills that I have learnt through the apprenticeship have helped me massively in the Projects that I am working on. My confidence has improved and I now have the skills, tools and techniques to confidently run a project. Having the material to hand is also a benefit as it is something I can always refer back to.
The past year has been difficult due to Covid 19 so social activities have all stopped. Instead we have socialised over teams, attended training sessions and provided support on the apprenticeship that I am doing.
