On a day-to-day basis my role is going to collage. Hear I learn skills and information relevant to My apprentice and progress toward a qualification which is a Level 3 B-tec. When on site I learn the how wind turbines operate and how to find and rectify faults on wind turbines. I also learn how my colleagues function and how i will potentially function if i am employed.
During my apprenticeship i have developed and learnt new skills in how to correctly and safely wire electrical systems. I have developed my skill when working with tools. I have learnt how to safely climb and work at height whilst wind turbines. I Have learnt how to signal crane operators, developed first aid skills and developed fire awareness skills.
I find my programme quite enjoyable. Being on site is defiantly a highlight, the experience is fun, interesting and beneficial to my learning progress. At collage i find many of my classes interesting. I can see how the majority of the classes are going to benefit me in my future working career. Many of the classes are enjoyable.
My programme is organised very well. I feel aslough i get a good balance of onsite, practical and theoretical learning. It is clear how the majority of my classes will befit my future career. I am well cared for by my company and learning staff, they provide all the support i require, are approachable and easy to contact. They provide me with plenty information as to what is required of me. The compony has organised accommodation and transport for me.
I am well cared for by my company, they provide all the support i require, are approachable and easy to contact. They provide me with plenty information as to what is required of me. The compony has organised accommodation and transport to and from the collage. The compony has, on occasion, organised certain events for fun. They have provided me with vehicles for work as well as paying for my commutes to work. They reimburse my travel expenses from home to collage for each term. the compony has provided me with a laptop and phone for work and collage. the compony pays more than minimum wage.
training providers give sufficient support. I feel all my needs are filled. I feel comftable talking to and raising issues and raising what i am struggling with to my training providers. They always provide resolution. I am given sufficient time and information to learn and complete work. My course leader keeps me up to date on collage going ons.
Without learning whist's trying to complete my qualification, i imagine i would have very little ability in regard to my role. The practical workshop work whist at collage prepared me well for the tasks i was expected to do on site. the theoretical work in hydraulics also prepared my for work on site.
There are plenty inter-company networking events. These events are mostly optional and occur online due to current circumstances. Current government laws have made it difficult to hold compony events. My managers have held events such as a birthday party for my immediate colleagues. My fellow apprentices are in the same accommodation as i. We frequently socialise together getting drinks, going to the gym etc.

EDF has been incredibly supportive during my apprentice. The have fantastic compony schemes. EDF has plenty opportunity for career development. EDF also has plenty opportunity to expand your experience working in different departments. My apprenticeship has been overall enjoyable. In addition i believe that the energy business is reliable, a job in this field is potentially a job for life.
Firsty one should decide if this is what they want to peruse. This apprentice is not easy and one is going to have to work. If they decide it is, one should be them selves. One should study up on the job for wich they are apply and be prepared for there interviews.
