I am an apprentice site manager supporting my senior managers in monitoring and supervising subcontractors work and the overall progress of a project.
Yes through working with experienced and knowledgable people in the industry I have learnt how to approach different issues that arise in the work place and how to manage and complete my own tasks and responsibilities.
I am very much enjoying my programme and looking forward to completing it this year to move onto the next step in my career.
Overall it is good, however, it is still unclear what the natural progression is for me as I finish my programme this year and awaiting confirmation of what I will be placed onto next if at all.
I receive a lot of support off my line manager and colleagues and off the college I attend. I am still unclear on whether they'll support me on what I want to do next in my education.
During COVID, the college has struggled with its structure but have always supported me as a student and have adapted for my benefit.
The qualification supports me in my overall knowledge of the industry but for my role day to day this is learnt through experience.
Yes there were but due to COVID these have been stopped until they are opened up again.
Yes
Overall my line manager, colleagues and teachers have been supportive of my progress and helped me through any issues I have had. I just want more clarity of HR for my next stepping stone after I complete my programme this year.
If there is an oppotunity apply for the role to gain invaluable experience in the industry and a foot in the door for your career.
