I work in HR and have to complete data analysis daily on our employee's reward, bonuses and income.
I learnt many new skills and developed on my previous ones. I have learnt all about Excel through company training. The company also set up 3 training courses on presentation skills and workplace skills.
I love my programme as it allows me to do everything I enjoy. The work is different everyday which keeps me engaged and my team are always supporting me with learning. Everyone is so supportive and the role fits to me needs.
My programme is well organised. I had 3 weeks of induction and training when i first joined. I was given a mentor and buddy from the company on my first week. I also have a tutor from the uni. I am always involved in team meetings and tasks
I receive a lot of support. I have a buddy and a mentor from AZ, who are constantly there to answer my questions. I catch up with them regularly too. My manager and team are always supporting and giving help if needed too.
I am given a personal tutor from the Uni, where we catch up after each assignment to review it. I feel supported as all my issues and problems are always looked into and are actively solved.
My University degree helps with my daily role at AZ, however some modules aren't relevant to my work life. Some modules I use everyday in the workplace, whereas some I don't and haven't used at all
Due to the pandemic, activities aren't as easy to organise but there are many social zoom calls every fortnight where we can talk and play games online. Before the pandemic, there were many social activities, but we have tried to keep them up online
Yes
I would recommend and I already have. AstraZeneca is a great place to work, where I can work hard, be myself and gain knowledge every single day from other employees. If everyone got the opportunity to work here, I would tell them all to take it!
My application process was done online but that was smooth-sailing and all clear. The onboarding process was so helpful so I would recommend engaging with them. Take all opportunities given to you, as there are amazing experiences at AZ. I wish I had taken all opportunities offered to me.
