  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I am currently in the role of formulation but will be moving to a more chemical analysis based role. Some of my day to day task currently involve formulation, calibration of certain equipment and ordering of vehicles and compounds.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • My knowledge of lab skills and formulation in general has increased greatly. I will continue to develop these skills and some new ones as I have my job rotation opportunity.

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy this role very much, I especially enjoy working in a lab environment as I find it very interesting and the work is enjoyable. The team have been very supportive and I would be happy to voice any concerns I have to them.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The structure of my programme was somewhat disrupted by the events of last year, however this cannot be helped. I feel well supported and I am looking forward to new opportunities in my rob rotation.

  • I feel well supported by manager and my team and I know where I can go for help.

  • I am well supported by my tutors and there are easy ways to contact them for support. They also reply in good time.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It helps to reinforce the practical knowledge and back it up. It also gives a wider understanding of the job and the industry.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Covid has prevented a lot of the social activities. however these have been replaced with numerous virtual social events.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I have had a great experience with the company and have learnt a lot. It has also just been a really nice place to work.
