Electrical design apprentice- understand the working of power systems and how to implement them into 2d models Day release at Furness College where I study an Electrical Engineering HNC.
I have learnt how to operate different CAD systems, along side a whole new range of subjects studied at HNC.
I am enjoying my apprenticeship however training was poorly planned when starting in the business
The programme is well organized however COVID has slowed down/ changed the structure of our different placements.
If I have a concern I feel comfortable raising this with my employer, to seek the right advice/action
Support for college qualification was minimal, after seeking for help and no response. Support for qualification within business has not been needed yet due to it not have started yet, but I would openly ask for help if it was needed.
The qualification allows me to fully understand the background and reason behind the work that I am doing, putting it into real life perspective
I believe that some people are at a disadvantage to experience these events as it is the apprentice council who participate , of which only a selected few are included.
Yes
BAE provides high quality training for people of any age, whilst paying them to gain this qualification and experience
Ensure that you are certain that it is the qualification that you want to study, as you will be based in that department for many years.
