Work as an auditor during busy season. Typical day involves being out on client sites as part of an audit team conducting testing and lots of client contact time.
Developed my people skills (lots of contact with clients), time management, and also put into practice my accounting and professional skills learnt at university.
Thorougly enjoy both my degree programme and also my work placements at PwC
Extremely valued
Placements are well organised and there is lots of contact between PwC Newcastle University and ICAEW alike.
Receive lots of support and even when we are on placement we are in contact with people from the workplace helping us and keeping us in the loop.
Again, receive lots of support - Whilst on placement there is tons of support from people managers, programme directors, managers and peers alike making sure you are ok and constantly striving to achieve. Even when you are not on placement (ie back at university) there is support and contact from PwC.
Very well - receive salary and also whilst on placement accomodation is provided meaning no rent & living costs and/or bills.
Plenty of opportunities including volunteering through PwC in the community, lots of sports teams, socials and networking events.
Yes
Well paid, great atmosphere, lots of support and all in all an enjoyable place to work.
