Pre-contract for Utilities. Mainly tendering for Framework for major water authorities across the UK. Reading tender docs, take-off and measure, issue enquiry, retreive quotes and analyse.
Learnt many new skills mainly involving the tender process and also improved my ability to collaborate with others to achieve an end goal.
I thoroughly enjoy the programme especially when in University as I struggle to stay engaged when studying from home.
Id say it is well organised as I now have a mentor to help alongside my studies.
A lot of support comes from my line manager who i check in with on a daily basis and have regular 1 to 1s to help set goals
I receive good support as our tutors allow us to work independently i.e offline lecture and then check in with after studying to ensure we have completed this. They answer all of our questions and concerns.
It helps me learn skills and become knowledgeable about areas that I dont necessarily get involved in on a day to day basis.
There is opportunity to get involved in these when actually at Uni although it has been difficult for the last 12 months.
Yes
They have given me a great opportunity to get a degree whilst working and earning a wage. I appreciate this a lot and would always recommend Kier for this opportunity I have.
Stay focused throughout your career at Kier and give as much back as you can. Take as much knowledge out of the course as possible to help you for the rest of your career.
