  • My role is an apprentice heavy vehicle technician. This role involves servicing and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles.

  • I have learnt a variety of different skills during my apprenticeship. This ranges from hand skills and tooling to working in teams with colleagues and working to meet targets.

  • I enjoy my programme a lot as it is so varied that no day is the same.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme has a good structure to it. Sometimes in busy periods and it being quite a large environment, it can be harder to maintain the structure.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • I receive quite a bit of support from my employer as well as support from different work colleagues.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • I receive a lot of support from my training provider whilst working towards my qualifications. I am always pushed to do the best I can and I'm always given advice when needed.

  • I feel like my qualification helps me to perform in my role not only in the physical side but also helps me to perform as a team and work well with my colleagues.

  • There currently is not extra curricular activities except a Christmas get together.

  • I would recommend Babcock to a friend as there is quite a lot of opportunities for personal and educational development within the company.

  • Advice I would give to others applying to Babcock is to defiantly apply and enjoy the time working there.
