Managing the accounts of a portfolio of contracts. Measuring performance and relaying results to senior management team. More recently looking after a team of management accountants.
Many accountancy skills learnt
Love working with the company and the various teams/individuals within the business.
Still a fairly new programme and has been impacted by Covid but overall, a really well organised process
I have a manager that looks after me, a apprenticeship lead and a mentor, all of which are interested in my progress
I enjoy taking on the educational side of the programme by myself but the college are there if I need them
I believe I have learnt more through the work I have carried out through my company (CEVA) than I have through my training provider. And my progress through the ranks has outpaced the training I have have been doing
Largely hit by Covid but we have many events that go through the year. Play football in the summer, social activities etc. CEVA understands the importance of making the office an enjoyable place of work
Yes
They have looked after me really well. I joined shortly after completing university and finding myself as a waiter in a restaurant. I was taken on with no experience of working in an office, started as an administrator and now find myself as a member of the management team in a short space of time.
Dont be intimidated with it. Its a logistics company so a steep learning curve. But some of the most simple advice is often the most effective change
