Working in a team, working on Remuneration, getting data from various sources and putting it in spreadsheets to analyse it.
A lot of new skills on excel, becoming much more confident in presenting as have had to do a few presentations infront of the team. I have learnt many basic communication skills like sending professional emails, and responding to clients. I have learnt how to work in a professional team and be keen to get work from different people.
Really enjoying it.
Very valued, the people that I work for are always very positive and give you good feedback, letting you know that they appreciate the work you have done.
Quite well organised, as we are the 3rd year now, it is very set out clear what we are doing. Studying is set out from day 1, and we can ask last year's higher apprentice's if we need any more information. Our induction was very good, and we went away for a weel to meet all the new joiners and get to know each other while we started training.
We only have 4 days this year in college, and then a couple of mocks and 3 days of revision at college nearer the exam, but it is enough when you are revising yourself at home, its all about personal responsibility. And we have our tutor's emails and hone numbers if we have any questions or need any help when we are not at college. If you have any other questions people in the office who have sat hte exams are also there to help.
We have a buddy which is great for new joiners, who is one year ahead of us and can help you along the way as they have just done the exact thing you are about to do. We also have people managers that are great and keep track of your objectives, feedback and progression. Everyone else in the team are also very helpful if you have any questions on work you are doing for them.
I live quite far out so I am one of the unlucky ones for travel costs, but it covers it and leave me with a good amount to live off.
There are many groups and sports teams/pantos that you can get involved with. We have many team socials that are great and gives you a good chance to talk to everyone in the team.
Yes
It is a great opportunity and is everything I was expecting and more, it is enjoyable and has a great career path.
Go to as many insight days as you can, as they give you great tips for the application and assessment process, and give you more of an idea of what business unit you would like to apply for.
