My role varies depending on my placement, as an apprentice we get put onto different placements every two months. This allows us to gain knowledge and skills throughout the whole plant
Since having this apprenticeship, I have gained countless new skills as well and improving current skills further.
I really enjoy my program, having the ability to change placements every few months and gain knowledge and skills in numerous different areas is extremely beneficial.
My program is extremely well structured/organized, I have been given a placement place which provides all the details of my placements, mangers, mentors and learning tasks all for the next 2 years.
I receive plenty of support when required, I receive initial support from my mentor on placement that I am on, however there are numerous other people i could go to at any point if I required further help.
I receive plenty of support from the training provider, he often comes into our workplace to provide us with guidance as well as checking our work and providing work plans i.e. timelines for completion etc.
The qualification helps in certain areas of my work life. Certain lessons have a big affect on our ability in the workplace however some lessons do not provide much/if any benefit within our workplace.
Usually there are numerous social events, however due to current circumstances with COVID-19 these have not been taking place.
Yes
It has been very beneficial for my personal development and i have gained countless amounts of skill and knowledge with this apprenticeship. It is also a lot of fun and very enjoyable.
Be keen to learn and improve yourself. Be hardworking and prepared to get stuff wrong but then have the willingness to identify the mistakes and improve for next time.
