  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • I come to college and complete any work required to pass the course by the deadlines given.

    9/10

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, I have learnt how to plan out a task correctly, ensuring health and safety is accounted for throughout.

    10/10

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy the content of the programme as well as the prospects after the apprenticeship, the availability of help reduces any stress that may be present so learning can become much more enjoyable.

    10/10

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that the structure is ok, however prior experience is not accounted for and you are essentially lumped into one group. This causes problems like some finishing way before others and some falling behind and not always receiving enough help when it is needed.

    6/10

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • Help from employers is always available, for example, I had a prominent I.T. issue that was sorted quickly with help from my employer. I feel that this level of support will carry over into any future issues I may run into.

    10/10

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • There is enough support to get everyone finished, but in the BTEC subjects it can sometimes feel that support is spread out among everyone rather than focused on the ones who could maybe benefit from it the most.

    8/10

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It covers a lot of the bases that will be met in the workplace, and some extra units that will be useful in different roles and areas. The generalised feel of the qualification is better as it doesn't feel like you're being locked into one thing.

    10/10

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Not that I'm aware of, however I joined during COVID so I doubt any of these would have been running.

    5/10

  • 9a. Would you recommend BMW Group to a friend?
  • Yes

  • 9b. Why?
  • Because it is a great apprenticeship with good job prospects in a very well known and respected company.

  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Make sure you list EVERYTHING you think will be useful, and try to emphasise any previous knowledge that would be relevant the apprenticeship.
