1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:

I was successful in gaining a place on the Business Insight Week in Belfast - August 2014. One day induction, three days work shadowing and a final assessment day. Shadowed in Tax and Transaction Services and really enjoyed both. Excellent opportunity to see how these 'big' companies operate.

2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?

I developed better communication and networking skills. Also my confidence in one-on-one and interview sessions has increased.

3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?

Really enjoyed the week - it was a fantastic opportunity/experience.

4. How valued do you feel by PwC?

I thought PwC did a very good job in making all of the candidtates feel valued. Their planning and preparation was very good and they maintained our interest throughout by keeping us busy and involved.

5. How well organised/structured is your programme?

Very good - made you feel very relaxed from the initial induction through the week to the final assessment day. There was plenty of support from colleagues and other new starts to help us thriugh.

7. How well does your salary/package meet your costs?

I thought the remuneration for the week was very good - really wasn't expecting to be paid for something that I really benefitted from - so I was well pleased.

Not really applicable - only did the 1 week.

9. Would you recommend PwC to a friend?

Yes

Great experience, looks good on the CV and will certainly help prepare for any future opportunities with the 'big 4' accountancy firms.

10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to PwC?

Prepare well in advance, check out wikijobs or 'the student room' for details on how to perform well in the interview and throughout the week - it's all out there!
