  • A day to day consists of moving around placements around the plant and shadowing other colleges to learn and gain experience in different roles with in the group.

  • Lots of new existing skills have been developed such as engineering knowledge, team work, communication, determination and resilience

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I really enjoy the work which I am doing, everyone is friendly and is always willing to help when needed. you feel very accepted into the company

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • the system is rather strutted, inside the plant the work structure is very well organised and you are given a clear plan on where you are working and what you are expected to achieve. the university structure is much less organised and seems miss-managed some times.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • A high amount of support is given, mentors are allocated as well as constant support and check ins by the apprentice manager

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Some support is given when issues and concerns are raised, but more support could be given in some areas. overall the support level is good and I feel it docent effect my learning

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • only very small parts of the course are linked to day to day activities, some information given by the uni is well linked but usually the uni course doesn't line up with the work very well.

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • there are a range of outside company events but I have not taken part in any so can't comment on these.

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I feel the apprenticeship is very well managed and the day to day work is very interesting and engaging. It is a great path into the industry.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BMW Group?
  • Be open, talkative, confined and passionate about the program and how you think it will suit you.
