Installing and servicing Sky products, dishes and cables using the best technology and health and safety equipment. Ensuring products work as efficiently as possible and providing the best customer service possible.
I have my developed customer service, teamwork and communication skills, working daily with a range of people means I must adapt how I talk to people to ensure the best possible outcomes for customers
The apprenticeship as a home service engineer is for customer service, while enjoying the role and what comes with it, I sometimes felt like the qualification wasn’t in line with work I do.
There is assistance available from the qualification provider which is helpful, but internally was scarce
At the level i take the qualification and with the work I do, the coursework toward the qualification sometimes felt like it had nothing to do with my role
Working for Sky is brilliant, other engineers are open and inviting, there are often plenty of things to do socially, including charity walks & football organised by team members
