On a day to day basis, this job consists of data entry and printing that is essential to the job. I do a job called allocations which means I have to divide up the jobs list that come in every morning and send them off to the respective working departments.
In the time that I have been working on this apprenticeship I have learnt a variety of different skills. These skills are organisational skills, time management, independency and professionalism. These skills have been very useful to have gained because skills such as organisational skills and time management are helpful both in and out of work.
I would say that I have really enjoyed my programme. There is a very good balance between work and the actual course itself. My tutor has been great and she gives all of the information needed to make sure that there's no confusion and I can enjoy the course as much as possible.
I would say that at the beginning of my course, there was some confusion as m original tutor was very busy and didn't have much time. However since I was given [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] as my tutor the structure was clear and organised. And I would say that I knew exactly what I needed to do to get my qualification.
I received a good amount of support from my employer which I was very happy with. My manager was very helpful in giving time off of working which I could dedicate towards completing my coursework and any else apprenticeship related. Also, I wasn't given too much work which let me balance my time between work and the course.
I received a great amount of support from my training provider. I have had a lot of support from my tutor, who I would say was essential to me getting the grade that I had aimed for. She kept in contact with regular calls and also emails to make sure that I knew what was required of me.
My apprenticeship was in business administration and that was a really big help to me in my actual job role. My job role required me to have good organisational skills and job prioritization skills and that was something that I worked on in depth when completing the apprenticeship course work.
When I had first started my role, there was an apprentice trip where all of the apprentices across the country went to a activity park where we got to know each other and took part in team building exercises. Other than that, there are not as many activities in place.

Kier has been very good for me and they have given me a good route into the working world whilst also being able to gain myself a qualification at the same time. Since completing my apprenticeship, I have also been taken on as a full time employee so I would definitely recommend Kier as they really value their young people.
I would reccomend that you are confident in your application and that you know what you can bring into the company. I would also reccommend that if it is your desire to work for the company after the apprenticeship, to make it known because Kier value people who want to work for them.
