My job is first point of contact for Natwest group customers to assist them with their banking needs. I work in the Telephony service in Belfast answering calls. Customer queries can very widely, so i assist with a large range of questions, queries complaints etc each day. TThe aim is to assist these customers at first point of contact.
I have learnt a lot about products and services offered by the company, as well as developing skills using the banking systems. This job was in a completely new sector than any other job i had worked in the past so it was an adjustment and every day has been diferent.
I enjoy the apprencticceship programe. It is encoraging to be around pthers who are also new to the job, so we can all learn together. There has been a lot of support so far, we have only began but i am interested to see where it takes me. The sessions are interesting.
The programme is very well structured. The plan for each week is laid out, and the work that needs to be completed is clearly explained and deadlines are always given. It is easy to reach put if any support is needed, and I am around others in the sme programme so i can reach out to them too.
There is a lot of support in place, especially as a new joiner. My team leader is excellent, support is constant from him and from our new team. There is an online support chat manned by team leaders that is always available for immediate help, and I have been added into teams chats for further supoort.
Support is always available when it is needed. Contact details has been given to us if we have any questions or problems, and there is a session with the trainer every second week where we are asked if we need any assistance as well as progressing thorugh the next weeks work.
As i have only began this programme it hasnt had a great impact on my work life just yet, but we have only had 2 sessions.
At the moment with the current COVID situation we havent been made aware of a lot of outside work activities.
Yes
It has been an enjoyable experience for me so far.
Go for it, I enjoy my work
