  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • Due to covid-19 I am currently working from home so my day to day is attending meetings, checking reports and creating reports for various different things

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • Yes, due to working at home I have been able to develop my commutation skills. I have also been able to improve ability to adapt to new situations, especially the working from home situation

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • I enjoy working with members of my team as they have a lot more experience than myself so I have had ample opportunity to expand my own knowledge

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • I feel that my program is structured very well, I had a well planned out informative induction going over everything I needed to know within the business. After I had finished the induction to my team, they had a support system set up for me which i can use for help studying

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There is an excellent support system in place, if I have any problems there a plenty of people I can go to either within my team, my managers or even other apprentices

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • Furness college tutors are very happy to help out if wanted, they don't have any problem helping out which is really nice. The classes are well thought-out with plenty of information.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • I can't really say as due to covid-19 I haven't done much in college only two units

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • Bae systems has many different extra-curricular activities I can get involved with however I haven't done so due to not currently living in the barrow area (covid-19 reasons)

  • 9a. Would you recommend BAE Systems to a friend?
  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • Its a great company to work for giving many different opportunities for further development, there are different paths for progression. The staff are always friendly and willing to help out


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BAE Systems?
  • Research the company, see what its all about and determine if its a good fit for yourself. When undergoing the interviews just relax and be yourself
