At the moment my role includes a lot of leaning and shadowing of members of the team, i have my own tasks that i can now complete myself and i have started to do them more regularly. Also i am starting to have more involvement in the tasks of the team.
I have built on my team working skills and my communication, learning how to work in a professional environment with my colleges. Also i have learnt new skills around bank procedures and process but also knowledge of how the banking world works, leaning all the different components of helping customers.
I really enjoy my programme i have had a lot of fun learning within my team and finding out about what my job role will in tail in the future. the working at home has been really good because it has enabled me to do more than if i was in the office and i hope i can continue to work form home in the future.
My Programme is very well structured i have a clear leaning plan that has been provided by my provider and is looking very interesting and i am looking foward to starting it. But also the training on the job from my Line Manager has been very well structured with a clear progression outlined.
My Employer has been very supportive always being available for any questions and also constantly making sure that i am okay and all is going well, my colleagues have been very supportive helping me get into the role and ensuring that i feel comfortable in the job and in the workplace.
As i have only started my programme a few days ago i have not had enough time to really gage if the programme will be supportive but what i have seen from them that they will be very supportive enabling me to ask questions whenever and feel comfortable while i learn.
I Believe that the programme will be okay for the job role because the programme isn't about specific skills but more transferable skills which i believe are universal but they will still help me preform better in the future so it still will be useful in helping me grow.
There are some professional events that are extra curricular but due to the Pandemic i have not been made aware of any more social/ sporting events that are extra curricular but im sure as the restrictions ease in the UK there will be more opportunities for me to get involved in.
Yes
The Team i am in have been amazing and very welcoming and supportive they have made me feel very comfortable and because of this i have enjoyed my new job a lot. Because of this i would recommend NatWest to a friend because i believe that whatever team you are in you will be treated similarly.
I would recommend that people are just truly themselves and don't try and become what they believe the bank wants form its employees as all the differences within your team are what makes the bank a truly enjoyable place to work and also it mean that you wont get the position based off something that isnt true.
