  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis:
  • My role as a customer service agent where we look at fibre broadband orders. overview of my job is to review orders and progress them onto the next, not all orders are easy, they involve more investigating in as where they go wrong and going to the correct departments to seek for help

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills or developed existing skills?
  • i feel the environment that i have been working in has allowed me to develop my communication skills as in the job you start networking with people and creating contacts. As well as this the job makes you feel more responsible as you own your orders and ensure your doing the best you can to provide the service

  • 3. To what extent do you enjoy your programme?
  • i really enjoy my programme as there's always something new to learn which keeps me on me feet, process change so I've learnt to adapt, and everyday is about setting new challenges for yourself and goals to achieve. Not only this but the support is always available too.

  • 4. How well organised/structured is your programme?
  • The programme I'm taking part has been structured well as we have been given a layout of the timescales of how long we would be working in each department along with how long we have until our assessment. Not only this but we have dedicated time for the apprenticeship tasks too.

  • 5. How much support do you receive from your employer?
  • There's always been a lot of support from my employer, and they've always been available to talk and discuss about any issues. We have had some sessions where we have one to one sessions with me and my employer, which allows us to catch up and see the progress i am making.

  • 6. How much support do you receive from your training provider when working towards your qualifications?
  • With my training provider they have always been on hand to help me work towards my qualifications, they help by providing resources to assist with tasks as well as giving guidance when we have any questions. They always give feedback too which helps in me seeing the areas i need to improve on and what I've done well in.

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • As I'm working towards my qualification, it helps me to perform better as it gives a better understanding of the organisation. Along with a ways on improving my interaction with customers and the service I'm providing as i have put what I'm learning in to practice which i have been seeing it helps to improve my performance

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • There always activities taking place in the office, like baking sponging and many more, where we can help to raise money for charities. Along with this there's loads of live calls to join with seniors where we can have a round table and ask any questions. Cultural events are celebrated to in the office which allows us to learn about different cultures

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • i would recommend realise as its a very supportive environment to work in, as well as it being very enjoyable to. Its always been a place of learning new things and taking it on board and showing what you've learnt. Everyone drives and motivates me to do the best i can and would definitely recommend.


  • 10. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to BT Group?
  • Some tips and advice would be, be ready to challenge yourself and go out your comfort zone, be ready to meet new people and network and create contacts as they can become handy. Not only this but even if you have no experince but keen to learn apply, as support will always be there for you to reach out and guide you on the right path
