My main role as a duty manager is to get the shop ready at the end of the working day ready for opening the following morning. Reducing items and cashing up. I also cover home delivery driving when needed
Yes I have mainly learnt the legal aspects in more detail as well as learning a lot about why we do things the way we do.
I have enjoyed my program a lot as I have learnt and developed my skills and what I can do aswel as my knowledge.
The program has been very well structured and put together. Unfortunately due to COVID it has affected how things have been done and the length of time the course has taken but this was unavoidable
Iceland as a whole have not really had much input in my course. My managers have always been very supportive and helped me as and when needed
I have had several different trainers during the course which has been difficult at times keeping up with where I am but all trainers have been very supportive and always there to help and answer any questions when needed.
I am a lot more knowledgable about the reason as to why we do things and can use my knowledge to help other colleagues in my store.
Not at present and this would mainly be due to the current and past restrictions during the COVID pandemic.
Yes
Iceland is a fantastic company to work for. I have been lucky to progress in my career through Iceland and gain so many new skills and my confidence has increased.
I would say if it seems right for you then go for it and if you are looking to progress in a career then most defiantly apply
