  • Head chef in a college, providing a varied menu for the pupils and staff. Manage staff and make sure all policies abs process are adhered to and that we meet food safety regulations

  • Yes I started as a catering assistant and have trained and worked my way up to become a head chef

  • Enjoying the learning and the tea search it’s made me do which has made me question my work and how we go about things

  • My trainer is really good snd guides me through the program I struggled getting started but I soon got the hang of it

  • Had very little support due to covid it’s been hard to get any support but I have received a traingbcourse which really helped me with my programme

  • My trainer had been great and has been very supportive and has helped me to achieve what I have done so far

  • 7. How well do you feel that your qualification (through your training provider) helps you to perform better in your role?
  • It’s taught me stuff I wasn’t aware of and has given me the drive to carry on and succeed it’s allowed me to try train in a new skill coming from an office background

  • 8. Are there extra-curricular activities to get involved in at your work? (For example, any social activities, sports teams, or even professional networking events.)
  • At my okd site we would have team nights out but at my new site not really as it’s a small team

  • Yes


  • 9b. Why?
  • I’ve really enjoyed working for the company and they have supported me through my level 2 and now nealry completing level 3 and have already said they would support me to go on to a level 4. They have given me a chance to restrain and do something I love

  • Be passionate and aim high in your role
