The level 3 team leader course has provided me with new skills and knowledge that I will use to manage my staff. Throughout my time at both this workplace I have been adapting to a different working environment while moving up to a management position. I have been involved in various safeguarding training sessions which has increased my understanding of keeping children safe in education as well assisting staff in this
I enjoyed learning new skills and knowledge that I can apply to my everyday jobs as well as sources I can pull from during more difficult scenarios. There were some modules, such as the communication module, that I took a keen interest in and have been researching further in my spare time.
The programme is structured very well with clear guidance on timeframes and the work that is expected of me. My assessor must take much of this credit as they are in frequent communication and explain and organise everything very well so I very rarely have to seek additional clarification on anything.
I received the necessary support from my employer to put the time towards my programme and have felt comfortable throughout that I have the time, support and freedom to complete my course at a reasonable pace. They have also provided quiet working space for meetings with my assessor as well as direct support in attending meetings with my assessor too.
My assessor provided as much support as I required during my programme and I never felt that they were unavailable or wouldn't support me at any time. Whenever I requested support, it was in a timely and helpful manner, which helped resolve the query quickl and without any issue.
My programme is directly linked to achieving a new position at my current place of work during the course of the programme. The skills and knowledge I learnt were put into practice when applying for the job as well as after I started in the new position in many different aspects of the role.
There are some that you can get involved with across the work place and the range that is provided is pretty broad meaning most people could take part in something extra curricular that they enjoy outside of the main working day. These involve sports events and conferences that can be attended at certain times of the year.
