I am a data analyst apprentice in the HR department, my role on a day to day basis is running rules, creating process maps for HR and data governance and lineage diagrams.
I have learned multiple skills as this is my first office job, even simple tasks as writing professional emails and communicating on zoom, to the more advanced tasks such as data profiling on excel.
I really enjoy my programme, i feel like it is a very good opportunity and good experience, the bank is a very good place to work and it opens a lot of new doors to new opportunities. I get along with my team very well so that helps.
My programme is well organised as i have monthly meetings with my training providers and i have a structure planned out for my year and what i will need to do.
I receive a lot of support from my employer, i have a weekly catch up with my manager every week and team calls every morning too.
I receive the bare minimum support from my training provider, they are still very helpful but they take long to reply to any of my emails and i only hear from them on my monthly meetings.
It helps me to perform better in my role as it gives me more experience and i am more confident doing it when i know what i am doing.
Yes there is loads but it is harder to participate or plan anything during the pandemic. Currently doing my training courses online.
