I deal with CAD mostly on a daily basis, assisting site teams create drawings. I also manage information from drawings through extraction and clash detections. also help with 4D Planning with 3D elements.
i have learnt a lot of new skills from new software to communication skills.
i have enjoyed my apprenticeship massively, i feel the work environment and been beneficial massively to progressing in this role
i believe my course i'm on could be organised better from the colleges side, my work environment on the other hand has been more helpful in my journey.
my employer has massively helped me, they allows keeps doors open for me to ask question and always ask how i am coping.
the college should have multiple staff to lecture the students as one lecturer gets swamped by the mass of work and can take a long period of time to mark grades.
i feel my course was tailored more towards CET instead, this made the learning more relevant towards them.
my company offers all staff a charity day, of which they can do charity work for the day. There are groups you can get involved in to socialise and network with.
Yes
The company is very welcoming and friendly, everyone will assist you (no question is a silly question). they understand the work and social balance.
working as a team is a key part of Skanska, show your strengths and don't be afraid to show your weaknesses as they may be able to assist. BE YOURSELF
