It's not taken off yet, still in the very early days but so far everyone has been helpful and it's been a good start.
The diary dates have been sent out for every meeting for the next 2 years so planning has been easy. The programme seems structured in a way to allow us to focus on one topic at a time.
My employer/ manager have made it clear the apprenticeship comes first and if I have any problems I can raise them. I've not had any issues yet and my manager/ team have been extremely supportive of my time.
I couldn't say much at this stage as the course has only officially started this Monday, however from an admin point of view, questions I've raised with BPP have been answered quickly and I've had no problems.
The senior managers in my business have all completed the same course as it's required for their role so I believe in time this qualification will teach me the necessary skills to perform well down the line and secure a position in the company at the end.
Many professional networking events, due to Covid, I haven't seen any sports teams, however social activities are being planned for the future return to office. I plan on joining a sports team if there's one available when we're back.
Yes
I've worked for other Financial Institutions and the progression was non existent. Management tried to keep you at the same level for their gain, not experience that at NatWest. Pay is also better. Colleagues have generally been really great and I've worked in great teams.
Based on my experience, we hire the person, not the answers they have. I've seen people interview for a role who had all the answers but someone else had a friendlier personality and more willingness to learn. People hire who they want to work with, so be yourself.
