I greet and meet customers and welcome them to the pub, I then seat them at a table and ask if I can get them anything to drink and whether they would like a menu or not, I then take their order and make sure that they are all satisfied.
I have learnt how to use the tills a lot better as sometimes they can be quite confusing, especially when we get a new menu and we have to try and find the buttons on the tills. I have also learnt how to interact better with customers on a daily basis.
I enjoy my programme a lot as I am learning different things on the daily, I also find it really easy to use and I always make sure that I am writing down notes to help me. My programme gives me all of the information which I need and if not more.
My programme is really well organised and structured as it has everything where I need it to be. For example, if I am struggling on a particular subject I can then go into my programme and easily find that subject to learn. I enjoy using the programme a lot as it helps me.
I receive some support from Employer as when I have needed help I always go to them and ask and they are always there to help when needed. They also showed me how I can use ‘MyLife’ better and they always give me the help when it is needed which is great!
I receive a lot of support from my employer, [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] is extremely helpful and has helped me a lot throughout my apprenticeship program, I did have another employer before [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] but they wasn’t as helpful. [This section of the comment has been removed by a member of the RateMyApprenticeship Team because it did not meet our site terms and conditions] always explains everything to me in full detail and makes sure that I fully understand before we move onto the next task, her help and support has and is incredible!
I feel like I am learning new and different things each day which is really good because as well as learning them mentally, I can also use them physically such as in my everyday work life. I am really pleased with how well my qualification is helping me and I am enjoying it a lot.
Not at the moment as we have got COVID restrictions in place, however once these are lifted then this may be an option to look into as I would enjoy doing these and I would want to gain the experience and again adapt them into my everyday work life and learn something new.

Marston’s is a fun and good place to work for! I enjoy the job itself as you get to meet different people each day and new things are always happening! As well as this, Marston’s also offer apprenticeships which I find is really good as not many companies offer these.
Make sure that you stand out! A lot of people will apply for the hospitality industry as it is a fun job to work in, especially with Marston’s so make sure you stand out, always go the extra mile, learn new things and definitely have fun once working for them!
