My role when working from home mainly consists of going to meetings, writing marketing briefs, briefing the creative department and then liaising with different stakeholders to ensure that all the deliverables for the campaign are editorially accurate, safe for TV and iPlayer and up to the standards.
Yes, I have learnt new ways of communicating, marketing techniques and technology. I have completed various different training courses that I will be able to use in future roles as well as my current one.
I do enjoy meeting new people and seeing how things work behind the scenes however, as working from home, this is very limited. There is no clarity of when we will be going into the workplace which is worrying but I am enjoying the degree that I am studying.
It is structured very well. We have a good amount of study leave for the work required and there is a lot of support from the training provider, too. It is all at home, however, so I look forward to learning in person, too.
Lots. My placement manager and mentor is very supportive and help with any queries I have. This is especially needed with my assignments as I have only been in the job role for 5-6 months.
Lots!! There are loads of different support providers in place including ACE, the office hours and the lectures themselves. We also have their email and a chat function through Canvas so that we can contact them when struggling. The support is very good.
I understand more and use the training in some of my day to day activities. However, I have only done one module and so haven't really seen this much in practice yet.
No, not really at the moment. Unfortunately starting my apprenticeship working from home has meant little access to networking and extra-curricular activities that I am so keen to get involved with. I am hoping that once I am in the physical workplace, whenever that may be, I will be able to get involved.
Yes
It will be a great place to work when I am physically in the workplace as older apprentices have said that there are much more opportunities to experience more of the business.
Be yourself and be enthusiastic!
