I work within Investment Marketing Planning; this involves coordinating, developing and implementing projects, around the various business units.
My knowledge of the sector has grown immensely since joining M&G, this has also been supported by the qualifications I’ve had to complete – the Investment Operations Certificate. Equally my personal skills have improved such as, my ability to communicate effectively with people, organisation, professionalism and confidence.
I am thoroughly enjoying my Apprenticeship programme at M&G. After turning down my University place to join the scheme I was sceptical to say the least, however it has exceeded my expectations.
I feel very valued my all at M&G. You are treated as an equal despite the fact you are straight out of school.
There is a lot of effort put into the structuring of the Apprenticeship programme and this doesn’t go unnoticed. We are set clear objectives and targets, which are reviewed by both our line manager and our HR contact. We are aware of the time scale to complete our exams and we are given sufficient time during our work days to study for these.
We catch up with our training provider monthly, which is sufficient. Furthermore they are always only an email away if you ever have any questions.
I couldn’t thank my line manager enough; she’s always really supportive, helpful and approachable with anything I have to ask. M&G, as a whole, is also extremely supportive.
The salary is good and covers all costs. We are also able to join the prudential pension scheme and share incentive schemes.
Yes, primarily through the Investment 2020 scheme. Equally M&G has a large 'sports and social' network.
Yes
M&G has provided all apprentices with a ‘foot in the door’. The opportunities I’ve been exposed to have been invaluable. Everyone is supportive and encouraging in helping you achieve your best potential.
Be yourself. They understand you wont know everything on your first day, however as long as you are willing to work they will support and assist you in any way possible.
