Portfolio development - research information about equipment/plant and processes used within Mace and within the construction industry. Familiarization and understanding of project construction site
Learnt how to read a schematic effectively. Understand the fundamentals of project management How to use Microsoft Excel effectively Developed communication skills
Relatively well, I've adapted and integrated to the project team well and like all of my colleagues so far. I would enjoy it more if I was based on site more than rather in the site office.
Very well organised. Efficient and understandable processes/procedures in regards to communication, networking, international opportunities, assistance always available.
Support is always available to me and the message of requesting any help is always reinforced to me. However, at this period of time during COVID, I have not required much support as I have primarily been working on my portfolio where much of the information is available through the internet
I receive a decent amount of support from my training provider however, some of the processes within the college isn't made known to everyone e.g. OTJ training which was only mentioned during a periodic review.
My qualifications earned through my training provider increases my confidence within the workplace and helps me understand my job role better and how to integrate what I learn from my training provider to my job role.
There are many extra-curricular activities such as: networking/social sessions, charities - physical and non physical fundraising, training sessions on various aspects of my job role e.g. fire stopping, health & safety etc.
